Privacy is essential to us, and we're committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use the 8Pack website and mobile application (the "Service").
Information We Collect
When you create an account and use the Service, we collect the following personal information:
- Email address — used for account creation, authentication, and service communications.
- Username and display name — used to identify you publicly within the Service.
- Password — stored in hashed form and never readable by us.
- Draft picks and comments — the cards you select and any comments you leave during drafts.
- Ratings and final thoughts — your post-draft ratings and written reflections.
- Streak and badge data — your drafting activity history used to track streaks and award badges.
- Push notification tokens — device tokens used to deliver push notifications on mobile devices.
- Subscription status — your active subscription type and billing interval, managed through Stripe.
Collection and Use of Non-Personal Information
We collect non-personal information that does not directly identify you. This may include usage data (which features are used, how often drafts are completed) and aggregated statistics. This information is used to improve the Service and understand user behavior at a high level.
Push Notifications
If you use the 8Pack mobile app and grant permission, we collect your device's push notification token to send you notifications about activity on your account (such as new followers or draft reminders). You can stop receiving push notifications at any time through your device settings; however, disabling notifications in device settings stops delivery but does not remove the token from our system. To fully remove your push notification token, delete your account via Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account.
Third-Party Services
The Service uses the following third-party services, which may collect or process your data according to their own privacy policies:
- Stripe — processes all subscription payments. We do not store your payment card information. Stripe's privacy policy governs how your billing data is handled.
- Vercel — hosts the web application and may log request data for reliability and performance purposes.
- Expo (EAS) — used to build and distribute the mobile application.
We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Despite these precautions, no system is completely secure, and your use of the Service assumes you understand and accept this risk.
Your Rights and Data Deletion
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can update your display name and username directly from your account settings.
To permanently delete your account and all associated data (including your draft history, picks, comments, badges, and streaks), go to Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account on either the website or the mobile app. Account deletion is immediate and irreversible. Any active subscriptions will be cancelled automatically.

Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your region). If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take immediate action to delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be posted on this page along with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review it periodically.
